GDC no. 2395
I qualified from Birmingham School of Hygiene in 1985 and gained the Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1995. I have worked as a Dental hygienist at the practice for many years now where I have co-ordinated oral health education sessions at schools and open day events at the practice.
Over the last few years we as a profession have viewed the mouth in isolation from the rest of the body, but now with more clinical studies available we recognise the significant link between some systemic diseases and periodontal disease. This information has enhanced my treatment of patients and I have a special interest in increasing my knowledge and expertise in the area.
My special interest is in non-surgical periodontal therapy which has proven very successful within the practice and from external referral cases treated.
I am also happy to treat non registered patients under the Direct Access scheme.
I have recently started to play golf, which I am totally addicted to so if I am not here I am on the golf course!
